Someone New Sunday and Last day to Enter Giveaway!

Happy Sunday Everyone!!

It's time to meet a new blogger.

Meet Ashley

from Rockin In the Resource Room!

Rockin' in Resource Room

Take a peek at some of Ashley's answers to my Q's:
 1.  What made you decide to start blogging? I always loved checking out blogs and finding new ideas for my classroom.  I thought it would be great if I could start a blog to share my own ideas with other teachers.  I’m also looking at it as another way to reflect back on how those ideas worked and how my classroom is managed.  I think it’ll help me to become a better teacher!
2.  What grades have you taught? I’m just getting ready to start my 4th year teaching, and all of my experience in the resource room setting as a special education teacher.   I work mostly with kindergarten through 3rd grade students.
3. What is the last GREAT book you read? I would have to say The Hunger Games.  I finished the series over a year ago.  I’ve always loved reading, but between taking care of a toddler and teaching, there’s not much time to myself anymore!
4. Michael's or Hobby Lobby? This is a tough one!  I like both for different reasons, but I think I’m going with Michael’s!   Hobby Lobby can be a bit pricey.  Michael’s has more DIY supplies and I can usually find more bargains there!  Many things in Hobby Lobby are already made.

5.  If I wasn't a teacher, I would be: An event coordinator.  All throughout college, I worked as an event coordinator for Long Island State Parks.  I helped plan different events like fishing clinics, festivals, and tree lightings.  It was a lot of fun to plan and organize events, and then go and see the final result and how it all came together!
6. My advice to new teachers: To just plan ahead and be prepared for anything.  Students all learn in different ways and different speeds.   Always have a back-up plan in case students aren’t understanding something.  Don’t be afraid to deviate from the lesson plan if something doesn’t go as planned.  Also, keeping everything organized saves lots of time!  It was difficult as a first year special education teacher between teaching and learning IEPs and paperwork.  If you stay organized and think ahead, the next year will be much easier!
7. Where can we find you?
I'd love for you all to stop by!

Before you leave, remember today is the last day to get yourself entered into my 1,000 Likes giveaway!! If you like TpT and Starbucks, then you'll want to get entered! Just visit my previous post!! :) Good Luck!
