  1. I left a comment/quetion for you on last weeks blog post and I'm not sure if you saw it. :) Teachers have been so busy with the beginning of the year and all. I was wondering how you made your science lab coats. They are sooooo cute. It kind of looks like white trash sacks but I am not for sure. Thanks for letting me know. You have a great blog. A lot of wonderful ideas.

    1. Hi Tammy! I am SO SORRY I didn't get back to you about the lab coats! You are right....it has been crazy busy for me.

I had each student bring in a white cotton pillowcase. Then, I helped the students cut out a neck line and two sleeve slits in the top corners. After that, we started at the neckline and cut straight down to the open side of the pillow case. I put a piece of cardboard underneath the top layer of the pillow case so the marker didn't bleed through and the students drew buttons, collars, and a name badge. :) One of the teachers that I work with did this and I watched her do it. That's how I knew how to do it for my lab coats. If you have more questions, please email me. :)mariecote123@gmail.com

    2. Thank you so much. That sounds pretty easy, just time consuming. I may make a bunch at home and use them each year for my students. I so love the idea. Thanks again for getting back with me.
