Notes from the past and Word Play!

Happy Saturday everyone!

I'm feeling nice and refreshed after a 2 hour nap thanks to my wonderful babysitters! Since my hubby has been down for the count for a few days, I've been running on fumes.

I thought I'd use this time before my sitters leave to hop on my blog and share a couple of ideas with you guys.

First up.....anyone ever seen this type of dice?

I'm always looking for ways to create new word play centers and wordwork based games, so these were a perfect find for me. They sell them at Lakeshore for $2.99 each. I bought three of them and then created a student recording page to complete the "word work center".

If you'd like to see the page to go with the dice, CLICK HERE to download!
I created two pages....one for just making words, and one that is a bit more challenging. It has the students use the number on the dice too and they have to add up their scores. This game is for partners to play.

Also, I wanted to show you my newest bulletin board. Each year as one of my end-of-the-year activities, I have my current students write letters to next year's class. Then I display them on the wall by my class for new students and their parents to read during the first week of school and Meet the Teacher.

Here is a close up of one of the notes from last year :)

This one was from one of the little boys last year. :) Funny, he even mentions my "spelling games" in this! lol

This student writing page comes with three other pages and is only $1 at my TpT store. :)
You can see it here!

Don't forget, I'll be posting my 300 GIVEAWAY information very soon! I am SOOOOOOO close! :)

Meanwhile, go check out Crayons and Curls for a SKIPPY JON JONES giveaway!!! It is super cute and I hope I win :)

  1. Thanks for the freebie. I bought those dice last summer on a whim and they sat in my closet because I never got around to inventing any games to go with them. so thanks again!
