"Friday Science" Fun with Spangler!

If you don't know yet, I am a huge fan of Steve Spangler Science! I have liked the experiments and the books and the website for years now, but recently, I also realized that the company is made of some pretty down to earth, amazing people! Another PLUS in my book!

I just received my newest SPANGLER science kit "Pinch and Mix" last week. I would have done this with my class on my normal Friday, but I was out with a sick kiddo, so here it is today!

My students had a blast today and this was PERFECT for the last week of school.

The students had so much fun and this experiment gave us a chance to discuss how colors mix, but also the difference between mixing paints and mixing color "gels" which are more transparent. We mixed on our tables, then we also mixed at the windows.

The kit came with EVERYTHING we needed, but I did make a great student recording page to go along with it. You can see it in some of the pictures. I wanted to upload it for ya'll, but I forgot to bring the file home tonight....Sooooo, I'll add it to my post tomorrow! :)
