Peeps and a St. Patty's freebie!

Are you doing your Friday Happy dance yet?? I am! I finally got my car's check engine light problem solved, and best of all...still under warranty = FREE! (Insert happy dance here)

My daughter and I also took a little trip to the CVS to stock up on our allergy meds, when I spotted these!
Who doesn't love a good fluffy peep??? Well, I cannot STAND the way they taste...but my daughter loves them, most of my friends love them, my students love them, and I needed them for some classroom activities that I'm working on.
This is the perfect time to use peeps in your class because they are literally EVERYWHERE right now. I got these packs, plus a pack of purple bunny peeps for a little over $3. Very worth it! Students will love working with these adorable little manipulatives.

Peeps are perfect for patterning practice. You can work with several different types of patterns, depending on the age/level.

Looking for more ways to use your peeps???? I've created a mini-packet called Hangin' With My Peeps!. It includes Patterning practice, Peeps in the Pond (addition practice), ABC order of /ee/ words, Where did my Peep go? (following directions craftivity) and more! Be sure to check it out!

Now, for those of you who love sweets....and aren't too sugared out from the peeps (like my daughter right now! LOL), this is a really cute idea if you have plans or a party for St. Patty's!

If you visit one of my favorite clip art websites, My Grafico, they have these:

Glitter Words

  1. I love the title "Hangin' with my Peeps! I had never thought of using them in the classroom. But I would have to show a bunch of discipline if I bought them. I love them!! they would be gone before the kiddos could do any activity with them. hahaha

  2. LOL...if the activity called for Hot Tamales or Skittles, I'd be in the same boat. Luckily, I really cannot stand the taste of these little guys! :) Glad you like the title! I thought it was kind of catchy! :)
